About Lakdun: Ergonomic Baby Carriers Built by Parents

Why We Started - About Lakdun

Lakdun exists because we are parents who could not find a baby carrier we actually liked. When our baby arrived, carrying them close was the best part of the day. The carriers we bought were not.

Some ran hot and stuffy after twenty minutes. Others hung all their weight on our shoulders and lower back. Most did not hold our baby's hips in a healthy position, and nearly all of them were impossible to put on without help. We kept asking the same question: why is there no carrier that works for both the baby and the person carrying them?

So we built one.

How the Carrier Was Designed

We started from the problems, not from a factory catalogue. We widened and padded the shoulder straps, reinforced the lumbar panel, replaced the fabric with breathable 3D mesh, and reshaped the seat until it held our baby's legs in the natural M-position — knees higher than the bottom, thighs supported knee to knee.

Every prototype went through real life: park walks, grocery runs, laundry, stairs, and the long evenings when a baby will only sleep on you. If a strap dug in at hour two, it changed. If the mesh ran warm, it changed. That cycle repeated until the carrier felt right on both of us, at different heights and body types.

What We Ended Up With

A carrier rated from 6.6 to 44 lbs (3 to 20 kg), with a waistband that adjusts up to 140 cm and a design simple enough to put on alone in under a minute. It is hip-healthy, breathable and machine washable, and it is CPC certified to US CPSIA standards.

What We Stand For

Our mission is plain: build safe, hip-healthy and genuinely comfortable baby carriers so daily parenting feels lighter. Babywearing should be a warm moment, not a physical burden.

We do not claim to make perfect gear. We make practical, well-thought-out products for real families, and we would rather tell you what a carrier does not do than oversell it.

About Our Images

Some lifestyle images on this store use AI-generated virtual models for illustration. Every physical product shot is real photography of the actual carrier, so what you see is what arrives.
